Michael "Mikey" Ancram retires from public life.
Spokestrummer for his generation, Michael "Mikey" Ancram announced his decision this week to retire from public life - he intends to stand as leader of a little known political cult, the Conservative Party.

Mikey Ancram's prodigious songwriting talent has stood out over the last 25 years, overshadowing the work of lesser talents like that Bob Dylan bloke for example.

Professor Beaker, head of Stirling's Department of Cultural Studies, argues that Ancram's musical output has encapsulated the crushing social problems encountered by one of the nation's least understood minorities: filthy rich Scottish aristos who talk posh.

"Ancram's songs have provided a soundtrack for a whole generation of be-tweeded simpletons who like to kill small animals for a laugh." Professor Beaker explained, citing examples of Mikey's groundbreaking song writing:
  • "This land is my land… so get orf or I'll let the dogs out"
  • "The times will not be 'a changing if we have anything to do with it."
  • "I intend to continue working on Maggie's Farm for as long as possible."

Priceless gems all.

In opting for the total obscurity of leading the Tories, Mikey Ancram's sacrifice is second only to those privileged enough to have heard him "play" the guitar....

Inside: Police to study video footage of Mikey singing to his kids- a clear cut case of child abuse surely?
