School sub leads to widespread spending on clothes Tory report finds.
A subsidy to encourage the kids of poorer families to stay on at school has been exposed as an exercise in profligacy, senior Tory boffins have found.

In the three pilot areas used to test the idea, there has been widespread buying of clothes by the devil spawn of feckless poor people according to the Tory brain boxes.

A spokesgenius for the Tories told the JT: "It's quite clear that the money, paid direct to the children has been squandered on fripperies like clothing."

While less sophisticated analysts of the behaviour of the lumpen underclass might

suggest that buying protection against the elements might be construed as possibly a quite good use of the money, our Tory source is having none of it.

"It's crucial for the purposes of social control that the poor are easily identifiable so respectable members of society can cross the road when they see them coming."

As a concession to trifling humanitarian concerns like basic social justice, the Tories are willing to allow some clothing to be provided for Children Of The Scruff: over shirts made of coarse flax clearly emblazoned with a yellow star.

Inside: Actually, the education of rich kids has been subsidised for years through the (ahem) "charitable" tax free status of the nation’s "public" schools, but you’ll never hear the Tories kicking up about it. Funny that.
