Wind Farms: Yes or No?
The debate over siting wind farms in Scotland rages on. Here, The JT publishes a completely unbiased guide to help you make up your mind on where you stand on the issue.
  • Wind farm turbines look really cool. That’s all you need to know.
  • Rural protestors against wind farms all look really weird. Ditto.
  • Protestors don’t care about the environment, they only care about their environment.
  • Protestors claim that wind turbines would decimate bird life - leaving fewer birds for them and their half-wit inbred pals to shoot the fuck out of.
  • It takes about a day to dismantle a wind turbine. It takes 30 years to dismantle a nuclear power station and 50,000 years to make its legacy safe. Oooh, tricky choice.
  • Wind turbines won’t use up all the wind and they don’t cause brain damage. In the Netherlands, wind turbine central, people behave like they do because they all smoke dope. It’s the law.
  • You can’t site turbines in built-up areas because the local kids would never be off them.
  • Wind turbines are a good thing, because anything that gets rural protestors completely wound up and frothing at the mouth is a really good laugh.
  • Have you seen those enormous 4x4s all these protestors drive to meetings about "environmental damage"? Er, hello?
Inside: And who’s at the head of the English campaign against wind farms? Noel Edmonds, that’s who. Game, set and match to me I think…
