News this week provides lazy Editor with obvious gags.*
Summertime, and the living is easy.

How very, very, true, as two separate stories in the nation’s press this week, give the Editor of The JT an excuse to indulge in two screamingly obvious gags for the price of one.

First up, Aberdeenshire Council took over the running of Archaeolink, an archaeologically themed, er, theme park, which has somewhat over-estimated public interest in matters ancient, to the extent that it does not appear to have had any visitors.

In keeping the Lottery-Funded albino pachyderm open at further public expense, the council appear to be reversing the usual archaeological method of digging up valuable stuff by, instead, taking other people’s money and burying it.

Elsewhere, it was reported that the Scottish Executive has commissioned over 1000 consultations over the last six years.

Leading The SE no doubt, to consider cutting the number of consultations - after, of course, putting the idea out for consultation.

Arf.

Inside: * "No change there then" cynical JT reader says.
