The worlds of
entertainment and politics, much the same planets when you come to think of it, were in
shock this week when it was announced that Jack and Kirsty would no longer be taking
holidays together.A joint-spokesperson for the golden pairing told the JT: "Jack
and Kirstys relationship will now be strictly professional: no more holidays in
Majorca. From now on, it will just be a question of Kirstys media empire coming up
with pitches for TV shows and Jack signing the subsequent cheques."
Already in receipt of 800K of your earth pounds to make the official documentary about
the building of the Scottish Parliament, another commission for Kirsty is in the offing as
our source now confirms: "The film about the building of the Scottish Parliament and
attendant delays was originally going to be called The Day After Tomorrow but
thankfully another production grabbed that title, so we went with The Gathering
Place."
It is thought that the new production, about one of the Balearic Islands, will be
called "The FreeHolidaying Place".
Elsewhere on planet politics, Keith Raffan, list MSP for the Lib-Dems, resigned from
the Parliament citing as the reason, "chronic back pain". A condition no doubt
exacerbated by bending down to pick up the brown envelope containing the £100K he claimed
in expenses last year.
Back with Jack and the continuing furore over "VillaGate" has led the First
Minister to resolve to spend next Hogmanay in Scotland, as he told The JT: "Next
year, I will be spending the holiday quietly at home in Wishaw. Oh, Christ, just kill me
now
