| Concerned at what he sees as the
centralising tendency within the SNP, Glasgow activist, Bill Wilson is to mount a
leadership challenge against, um, you know who I mean, that speccy bloke, oh Gods
whats his name again? Dr Wilson pointed to the partys poor
showing in the Holyrood elections, with 8 seats lost, arguing that the SNP should have
placed independence squarely at the centre of the campaign - a clear reference to the
leadership of, oh bugger, I nearly had it then, it was on the tip of my tongue.
Deputy leader Roseanna Cunningham said that the challenge to the leadership of,
the, em, party leader, would only damage the party "At a time when the SNP should be
focussing on getting our message |
across, Dr Wilsons attack on,
er, Oh Christ, I was just talking to him the other day there as well, hang on a minute,
itll come back to me. Anyway, its a bad thing hes doing." While claims of Dr Wilson acting as a stalking horse to clear the way
for a more high-profile challenge were dismissed by the activist, it is clear that
dissenting voices within the SNP might align themselves behind a bid mounted by Alex Neil.
Asked by the JT if he would challenge the party leader Mr
Neil replied: "Im sorry, whats his name again?" thus not letting The
JT editor off the hook and forcing him to wrack his brains fruitlessly until the Last
Trumpet sounds. |
