Entire British Army weapons arsenal recalled: "Someone could get killed" claims government spokesman
The government acted quickly last night, ordering the MOD to withdraw all of the Army's weaponry on learning that, in the wrong hands, tanks, artillery and small arms are capable of killing people.

"Frankly we were shocked" a spokesperson said, "Apparently, the army's been going 'round for years with these things that go bang and propel hot metal at supersonic speed. Just imagine what would happen if someone got in the way."

The move follows recent embarrassing recalls of the army's main assault rifle and concerns over the weapons systems installed in the RAF's Tornado fighter bombers.

Clearly shocked by the revelation that modern weapons can obliterate human tissue the spokesman singled out the Army's Challenger Tank as being of special concern. "The whole point of having these things is to allow the Minister of Defence to perch on top of one, looking butch. There's a world of difference between using a tank as a prop in a photo shoot and permitting its use in a life threatening manner."

The spokesman confirmed that the other services' lethal capability would be assessed in turn and a recall instituted.

Apart from Trident of course because that was purely defensive.
